Prenatal Support

Four prenatal visits (8 hours total). These visits include:

• A labour and delivery education session. Here we will cover how to ready your body for birth, increase your understanding of the labour process (with the potential twists and turns it may take), and how to cope with the sensations of labour (around 33 weeks)

• A session dedicated to birth planning, informed decision making and partner support (around 35 weeks)

• A postpartum education and planning session. Here we will talk about how to prepare for postpartum, what to expect, and what a normal newborn is like. We will also cover the basics for your chosen feeding method (around 37 weeks)

• A hands on movement session. This session will help relieve any pregnancy related discomforts, and ready your body for birth. These positions will encourage your baby to be in the best position possible for your upcoming birth (at 40 weeks)

Unlimited talk and text throughout the duration of the contract.

Printed workbooks and resources that cover ALL THE THINGS pertaining to pregnancy, birth, postpartum and newborn care

24/7 on-call support as agreed (typically with guaranteed coverage for 39-41 weeks of pregnancy)

Birth Support

All the support when your big day arrives! Support starts as text/phone support during the early stage. Once you are ready for additional support, I will join you while you labour at home, providing comfort techniques and non-medical pain management tools to help you through contractions. I will also suggest labouring positions to best support fetal position and descent. When you are ready, I will follow you to the birthing centre or hospital to continue our support for the remainder of your labour and delivery. If you are planning a home delivery, I will join you at home when ready, and stay with you until after the birth of your baby.

Up to three hours of immediate post-birth support to help establish feeding and newborn care and to make sure that you are settled into your postpartum room, or on your way back home. If you are at home, I will stay for the newborn assessment and to ensure that feeding is going well. When you are ready to settle in with your new family, I will leave you to it!

Postpartum Support

Two postpartum visits to support you and your partner while you navigate the early postpartum period. These visits are up to two hours in length. 

The first visit will take place within the first three days after birth. At this session, we will talk about your birth experience, how your mood is, how you are prioritizing rest, and how your body is feeling. I would love to watch a feeding session and offer support if needed. I will assist you with identifying any need for local resources or support, if needed.

The second visit can take place anytime within the first two weeks after delivery. At this session, we will review how you are transitioning into postpartum, provide feeding support, and provide any assistance as needed (infant care so you can rest, meal prep, light housework, etc). 

Unlimited talk and text for two weeks postpartum.
