Feeding With Confidence Package

This package will educate and empower all families, whether you plan to breastfeed, exclusively pump or formula feed. We start with an education session prior to the birth of your baby. This session will be catered to your chosen feeding method will cover everything you need to know to navigate your upcoming feeding journey with confidence. This education will be approximately an hour and a half, and includes resources to refer to after the session.

Once you are in the postpartum period, we will set up an in home visit to ensure feeding is going well, and provide any support or additional education that is required. This visit will be anywhere from one and a half to three hours, depending on your support needs, and when during our visit your baby decides they are hungry!

Postpartum Feeding Support

This is a service for breastfeeding, exclusive pumping or bottle feeding parents in the postpartum period. 

If you are breastfeeding, we will watch a feed and provide hands on support as needed. We will provide assistance to achieve a comfortable, effective latch, and review and practice feeding positions. Education regarding normal feeding, how to know if feeding is going well and how to know if it isn't will be reviewed. Referrals can be made to a local lactation consultant if you feel that you require more assistance.

If you are exclusively pumping and need assistance with flange size, pump settings or establishing a pumping routine, we can help. Milk storage guidelines, cleaning of pump parts, and tips to increase pumped milk yield will be reviewed. Referrals can be made a local lactation consultant if you feel that you require more assistance.

If you are bottle feeding, we will review bottle types, paced bottle feeding and help with selecting a formula that works best for your infant. Cleaning and storage of bottles and bottle parts, normal infant intake and how to know if they are getting enough will be reviewed.
